10th Anniversary of Ziraat Katilim
Established on 29 May 2015 as Türkiye's first state-owned participation finance institution, Ziraat Katilim has continued to contribute to the country's economic development over the past decade by combining the deep-rooted legacy of Ziraat Finance Group with an innovative participation finance approach.
To mark its 10th anniversary, Ziraat Katilim celebrated this milestone with the "Ziraat Katilim 10th Anniversary Reception", held at the Istanbul Finance Center.
On the occasion of the Bank's 10th anniversary, the first open-air events at the Ziraat Towers within the Istanbul Finance Center were organized as part of the celebrations, culminating in the "Ziraat Katilim 10th Anniversary Reception." The reception hosted members of the public protocol, senior executives of the Ziraat Finance Group, the Bank's clients, and numerous distinguished guests.
Ziraat Katilim Memorial Forest: From Ziraat Katilim to the Green Homeland
Ziraat Katilim made the highest number of sapling donations to the General Directorate of Forestry Istanbul Anatolian Side Regional Directorate in 2025.
Since 2020, Ziraat Katilim has continued its tree planting initiatives as part of its environmental responsibility efforts. In 2025, marking the Bank's tenth anniversary, a special sapling donation equivalent to ten times the number of employees was made. In this context, a total of 30,000 saplings were planted in nature on behalf of all employees in cooperation with the General Directorate of Forestry Istanbul Anatolian Side Regional Directorate.
This contribution represented the largest sapling donation made to the Istanbul Anatolian Side Regional Directorate of the General Directorate of Forestry in 2025. Part of the planting activities were carried out with the voluntary participation of approximately 200 employees.'
Within the scope of the initiative, employees were encouraged to participate in the process together with their families and children, aiming to raise environmental awareness and generate broader social impact. Considering the environmental damage caused by the increasing number of forest fires in recent years, the initiative also sought to provide a lasting and meaningful contribution in line with the Bank's environmental impact approach.
Renewed Internet and Mobile Banking
Ziraat Katilim has strengthened customer experience by renewing its internet and mobile banking channels in line with its digitalization strategy. As of the end of 2025, the number of digital customers reached 1 million, while the total number of transactions conducted through internet and mobile channels amounted to 30.8 million. The increase in the digital usage rate to 97% highlights the Bank's steady growth in digital channels.
The renewal efforts initiated in 2024 were completed in the Bank's 10th year, and the Katilim Mobil application was introduced to customers with a modern interface and enhanced infrastructure. Through these improvements, user experience has been enhanced, enabling faster, more secure, and more accessible transactions. With strengthened security, authentication, and digital approval processes, Ziraat Katilim has continued to reinforce its position in digital banking.
Oversight of Environmental and Social Impacts in Financing Activities
Ziraat Katilim monitors environmental and social risks associated with large-scale investment loans and project finance through its Environmental and Social Risk Assessment (ESRA) System, conducting environmental and social risk evaluations on a sector-agnostic basis. The number of projects financed under the ESRA System more than doubled compared to the previous year, reaching 27 projects.
Ziraat Katilim's Support for Financial Literacy
Ziraat Katilim supports the Finance Youth Project as part of its initiatives to enhance financial literacy. Through this project, the Bank aims to increase university students' knowledge and awareness of participation banking. Within the scope of the initiative, the Bank brings university students together with academy and industry representatives, fostering awareness of the fundamental principles of participation banking.
Vefa Group Volunteering Activities
The Vefa Group, composed of employees of Ziraat Katilim and their family members, carries out social responsibility activities on a voluntary basis with the aim of generating social benefit. All volunteer applications within the organizational structure of the Vefa Group are received directly through the Vefa Portal, while planned projects are communicated to volunteers via both the Fidelity Portal and corporate e-mail channels.
In 2025, the Vefa Group successfully implemented 12 projects, with 250 employees participating in initiatives aimed at making a sustainable contribution to a culture of social solidarity.
Promoting Healthy Living with the Ziraat Katilim Cycling Club
Ziraat Katilim continued to support thematic club activities in 2025 to promote employees' social interaction and healthy lifestyles. Through clubs such as Cycling, Chess, and Volleyball, employees were encouraged to actively participate in both corporate and social life.
Members of the Cycling Club contributed to promoting active lifestyles by regularly participating in Green Crescent Cycling Tours, supporting initiatives that encourage healthy and active living.'
"Digital Istanbul" Project Implemented with the Contributions of Ziraat Katilim
Ziraat Katilim continues to provide strategic support to the "Digital Istanbul" project carried out by the Istanbul Governorship, which enables visitors to explore the city's unique cultural heritage through a digital guide. Within the scope of the project, the first and second phase launch ceremonies have been successfully held. Accelerated with the Bank's support, this smart city initiative aims to provide fast, accurate, and user-friendly access to registered cultural assets across Istanbul through QR code technology. The Digital Istanbul project, which aims to make Istanbul's registered cultural heritage assets digitally accessible, initially started with 200 mosques and has expanded to cover 603 mosques and 225 historical tombs.
The technological infrastructure offers extensive information about historical structures"from their year of construction and architect to their patrons and distinctive architectural features"presented in both written and audio formats. Fully compatible with all smart devices, the platform is available in five languages: Turkish, English, German, Russian, and Arabic, serving as a comprehensive travel guide for both domestic and international visitors. By pioneering this initiative, where cultural heritage meets modern technology, Ziraat Katilim contributes to preserving historical values in the digital sphere and passing them on to future generations.
The Heart of Art Beats at Ziraat Towers: "Adil-i Mutlak" Calligraphy Exhibition
Ziraat Katilim aims to promote Islamic calligraphy, one of the most refined forms of Islamic art, and to bring this centuries-old heritage to wider audiences. In line with this vision, the cultural and artistic events organized annually by the Bank contribute to society's cultural and aesthetic enrichment. Within this framework, the "Adil-i Mutlak" Calligraphy Exhibition was opened to art enthusiasts at the Ziraat Towers in 2025. The exhibition features 13 distinguished works created by master calligraphers, presenting Qur"anic verses centered on the theme of justice. The exhibition brings together classical and contemporary interpretations by renowned calligraphers including Savas "evik, Abdurrahman Depeler, Davut Bektas, and Sahryansah Siracuddin, offering visitors a rich and multi-dimensional artistic perspective.
Visitors have the opportunity to closely experience the intricate craftsmanship and spiritual depth of calligraphy through these works. Through its continued support for art and artists, Ziraat Katilim remains committed to preserving cultural heritage and increasing awareness in the field of arts and culture.
